I don't usually reblog other posts, but I think this one should be read by every writer who wants to self-publish.

Thanks for making me aware of this. I'm utterly disgusted by it. I've never seen the greedy cynical contempt for authors of a global publishing house so openly displayed by its CEO before.

  4. Again, thanks for your generous sharing.

Thanks for this. Practices like this are doing wonders for the independent e-book industry. Cheaper to put up ones work for free on Amazon or the like and devote time to promoting it via the social network. And you can still get up to 70% royalty that way.

  6. Sad but not unexpected…capitalism reduces everyone and everything to a monetary worth. We know better, and keep writing.

  7. Guess this means I won't self publish my mad ravings. oh wait… I appreciate your sharing this.

Thanks for reblogging this! I would have never known… though truthfully, I'd never even heard of this service. I'll probably be going to Lulu to publish.

I normally wouldn't reblog what has been reblogged, but this information is crucial to all writers especially with self-publishing a growing field. Please give it a read and pass the information forward. Thanks!

I'm not at all surprised. I published fourteen books conventionally–five through Berkley, which is owned by Penguin, and nine through Silhouette (Harlequin, which is now the target of a class-action suit.

  15. Currently trying to self-publish my first book. Thanks for sharing.
