New Release: An Emperor’s Will

cover2Like I said in yesterday’s post, starting today you can read the first piece of honest writing I ever did. The novella An Emperor’s Will is available for sale on my shop for $2.99.

It won the Nicolae Labis National Contest in 2006, and it was also one of the top rated stories on a workshop I used to frequent back in high-school.

If you like love stories, magical realism, or me, you should definitely check this one out. You can do so here.

Also, here’s a short sample, so you know what we’re talking about:

And we danced; we danced until the orchestra fell silent, and we danced after that. We danced in silence, and we thought it to be funny. We danced until all the candles burned, until we both felt free. Life was simple and beautiful, and I felt as if I could spend my life staring into her eyes, sinking into the glowing dark abyss of her soul. Then and there, without thinking about consequences, I kissed her.  I pressed my lips against her soft, velvety lips, and I felt like burning. Every kiss, every breath, every touch took us closer to what we both knew was going to happen. The inexorable truth of the human condition, when we, as individual creatures, die only to be reborn as one soul inhabiting two bodies. We made love that night, and we kissed, and our bodies mixed together like colors on a canvas. Two droplets of color shivering down a wall, two droplets of intense passion of joy becoming one.

For the first time in my life I felt loved and I loved back, in a way I never though possible.

An Emperor’s Will is available for purchase as an e-book, in .epub, .pdf, Kindle, and many other formats, on my shop here.
