“It’s fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” – Bill Gates
I believe that we learn a lot more from failure than we ever do from success. While the latter has the tendency of getting to your head, failure keeps one’s motivation strong. Or at least it should.
How you handle failure defines you more than the way you handle success. How you manage to get up tells more about your character than the way you behave after you’ve gotten up.
Truth be told, it’s impossible to go through life without failing. Whether it’s work, or a certain passion, or love… we all fail. We all make mistakes. But it’s important to learn from those mistakes. It’s important to realize, in times of hardship and adversity, that life goes on. That what doesn’t kill us is ultimately going to make us stronger.
In the face of adversity we should remember that all our troubles are temporary, even if they last until we give our last breath. We are temporary. And this thought should give us the strength and courage to treat each day as the precious gift that it is.
If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you know that I’ve been through a lot lately. And I’m not a big fan of positive thinking and stuff like that. I believe in facing our fears, our troubles, our flaws. I believe in breaking the walls that limit our vision, of breaking the chains that bind us. No matter the cost.
In order to live fully one must be bold.
That is all.
