Nothing is too heavy to those who have wings

Our greatest fear is not that we will fall, our greatest fear is that we will live a full life and never fly.
We’re not afraid of dying, we’re afraid of dying before the world sees who we really are.

We were with wings, yet most times we choose to crawl through life. Yet, when our wings get cut, we’re blamed for not being able to fly. Strange world. Strange world, indeed.

You have all the excuses in the world not to achieve your dreams, not to be who you’ve always wanted to be. They are all valid. And the world might even agree with you and understand your situation.

But does it really matter?

When you are stuck on the ground, while you see others soar among the stars?

Does it matter?

Yes, you can waste your life by wishing things would be easier. Wishing someone would come along and give you a helping hand. Wishing that your wings would do their thing on their own.

You can tell yourself all the lies ever invented, you can even make some new ones up while you’re at it.

But will any of them matter to you when your time will come?

How much time do you waste daily by wishing you were someone else other than who you are? Somewhere else? With someone else?

How many moments do you think you’ll beg on your deathbed, after you’ll realize how many years you simply wished away?

We are all born with wings, but it’s up to us to fall over a cliff and learn how to use our wings on our way down.

The world will change its opinion about you the day after you do.

You’ll get what you want after you put in the work that is required. After you pay your dues.

You’ll become who you want to be after you’ve faked it for a long time.

It’s just how it is. You can argue that it’s not fair, and it’s not, but that’s not going to change anything, is it?

Use your damn wings. Don’t crawl, when you were born to fly.

  1. Loved this post! You are so right- sometimes we just don’t realize that we have everything that we need to get where we want to go- we just need to keep working towards that goal.
