The Grind

Do you know why people get bored?

Because they feel that what they’re doing isn’t something meaningful. Their focus shifts, their motivation gets depleted.

Most people fail to grasp the significance of any given moment. They fail to understand that we’re all given the same number of hours. Each day. Hours that, when wasted, are never returned to us.

You can sit in bed and act lazy and watch TV or whatever, but that time, sooner or later, you’ll regret it.

Most people don’t grind. Most people don’t fight. They grow complacent. They want safety and security. They want comfort. They want shortcuts and how-to guides. They want it easy.

It’s never easy. It just appears to be so.

Most people don’t see the opportunity that hides behind every obstacle.

They spend their lives running away from problems, from confrontation.

But the truth is that we have to face life. We have to face our fears. We have to face boredom, failure, setbacks, and frustration. That’s the price of success.

Doing the same thing, over and over again, day in and day out. Doing it when you don’t feel like it.

Because you have to. Because it’s important.

You don’t feel something like this. You realize it. You rationalize it. You do what is necessary, instead of what you want to do.

You decide what is important. You decide what’s worth it. You decide if you’re worth it.

Behind every single thing you are too scared or too tired or too bored to do, there’s something you need. You became who you want to be, who you’d wish to be, by doing what has to be done. By taking the hard road.

There’s no way to replace the grind. There is no replacement for hard work. For pain. For sweat. For tears.

If you want success, in any area of your life, you have to do the work.

That is it.

Simple, but not easy. Not at all.

  1. If everything happens because of a single person ,then it’s possible to improve. When there is a war or attack by terrorist..what then ? How will you survive? The war is never ending , from excelling you have come down to basic certainly is hard work.

  2. We’re in a now society. People must think in terms of years of growth: 5-7, 7-10, 10 yrs and beyond. We want growth on major scale in terms of weeks and months. Things happen in terms of days and weeks only after years of work.
