Chase your dreams…

“Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing– and keeping the unknown always beyond you.” – Georgia O’Keefe

Why do I keep writing? Why do successful people keep at it? Why do billionaires don’t retire on tropical islands? Why doesn’t it all end when your dream comes true? Why doesn’t it come a time when there’s nothing left to wish for?

Because, simply put, it’s all a long, long journey. One word at a time, one step at a time, one little goal at a time. It’s all about becoming, not obtaining.

This world, and everything in it, belongs to those who believe in their dreams. To those who chase those dreams to the ends of the world. To those who run after their destiny and keep on running, no matter what.

So what if others don’t believe in your dream? If they keep telling you to be reasonable and find something else to do?

So what if others tell you that you dream too big?

So what if no one sees it? No one believes in you?

So what if you’re not there yet? If it seems like an impossible journey?

So what if you don’t have the resources, the time, or the talent?

So what?

You can do what you want, be want you want, achieve any goal, create anything into existence.

Because dreams do come true, if only you are willing to sacrifice. If you are willing to put in the effort, to do what others won’t, to give up comfort, sleep, social relations.

Dreams do come true, if only you’re willing to do whatever it takes to make them come true.

Sometimes, as I am learning, you come across a post that speaks directly to you and kind of renews the waning flame you strive so hard to keep burning, it never really goes out but sometimes it just feels doubtful that you will keep it ablaze.

Sometimes the world feels like it’s going straight to hell so anytime you come across a reason or a person who encourages you to keep believing in the madness you strive so hard to achieve with no guarantee, it’s important to see how valuable and precious it is that you are not the only one who believes in something, especially when there are so many out there satisfied and content with letting the fire go out, making themselves believe it’s just not for them.

Maybe the path I am on now seems quite illogical and foolish but I would rather have an absence of logic and foolishly pursue something that makes this journey so much more tolerable.

Thank you, Cristian. Well written and well received.
