The Art of Blogging

Traffic! It’s one of those words that I do not like much, for it almost begs us to forget that those stats represent actual people.

But… but… I know that one of the main reasons we blog is to be read by other people, so this makes it important to gain more followers, to receive feedback, to feel as if what you blog about truly matters to other people.

That’s why I compiled a list of the eight best ways to increase traffic and gain more followers for your blog.

  1. I love that you prioritise content first! I often moan to Husband that the stuff I’m really proud of, that takes days to write, gets barely any “traffic”; whilst a few quotes put together in 10 mins on the loo often gains a more enthusiastic response! Each time I’m tempted to question the point in actually trying… I have to remind myself that being really proud of something, and enjoying the writing process, is the reason you want “traffic” in the first place! Great post, thanks x

  2. Hi, read the post. I completely agree with your point that we feel low when the post we toil hard on barely gets views. Believe me the few ‘good job!’ and ‘keep it up’ comments from my friends keep me motivated. I never knew blogging was this difficult, so when I see the quality of your posts and your following, I can imagine how much hard work it took you..!
