Why So Serious?

This is just a simple post to remind you not to take life too seriously. You’re not going to come out of it alive anyway.

People care too much. About all sorts of minor things.

Who did what, who said what.

They care too much about people who hardly ever think about them in return.

They care about who shares their beliefs and why, and who doesn’t and why not. They care about time more than they should. They care about money, more than it’s healthy. They don’t care about health until they must do something to fix it.

Why so serious?

Life doesn’t make much sense. It never did, never will.

The wisest thing you can do is accept that we know nothing.

If you are now pissed because I tried to be funny via an over-used GIF, then you’re taking yourself too seriously…

Lastly, let me give you a piece of advice: whenever you become aware that you’re taking yourself too seriously, stop, and ask yourself… so what?

Whenever you feel tired, broken, broke, sad, angry, depressed…

Whenever someone rejects you, badmouths you, or laughs at you.

So what?

If you find yourself worrying too much about a certain event in your life, think of the worst possible outcome, and then ask yourself: so what?

So what if the skies come falling down on me?

Life goes on. Or not.

We do what we can with what we have. That’s it.

So, why so serious?

  1. Seriousness is important , if you don’t care about important things in life, it will negatively effect many people. Be serious about how you spend your life, it is a responsibility and you are accountable for your actions and reactions.
“So what ? and I don’t care.” is having a negative impact..of course no one comes out alive..but you must go in peace and while around let others live peacefully.

  2. Sometimes, we do need to be serious but the that depends on what will matter in the long run…This post really made me feel better today so thanks! And no matter how many times I see it, I’ll always love that GIF!

  3. I don’t know if it was Voltaire or that much underappreciated philosopher, Groucho Marx that said, “Life is the ultimate joke. And it’s got one hell of punchline.” So don’t take life that seriously. You’re not getting out of it alive.

  4. This message hits so close to home. I also sometimes think about the fact that no matter what you do “right,” there will always be people making nasty comments or spreading useless gossip.

Life goes on. 😉 Release the inner edge lords! hehe. “So what?” is the perfect response!
