566d116199aa67ccImagine someone deposits $86,400 in your account. You can do with the money as you please. No questions asked. But at midnight, all the money you didn’t spend disappears, but you receive another $86.400.

The thing about this mysterious deal is that you never know when you’ll stop receiving the money.

So what do you do?

How to best spend the money?

There are 86.400 seconds in a day. That’s how much we are given. All of us. No one gets more, no one gets less, no one knows when they’ll stop getting any.

From this particular point of view, you begin to understand why time is the most important commodity on earth. Because no matter what you do, you never get more than 86.400 seconds per day.

When the clock strikes midnight, it’s gone. That’s it.

The only difference between people is how they choose to spend that time. What are the things they really care about enough to invest this precious resource.

What matters.

You can spend your time being better about time you wasted, which is only going to cost you more time. You can also daydream about the future, which is like staring at the bank balance showing you the $86.400 and imagining all the things you could do with the money.

You can choose to spend your time any way you want. You really can.

You are free to make your own choices, but you are not free from the consequences of those choices.

So, how do you want to spend your time?

If you knew you only had one day. Your last day. What would you choose to do? What would be important enough to spend your last seconds on this planet on?

Think about that. Then decide.

  1. if i had only one day i would get in my car with my husband and we would drive as far north as possible, into Canada or maybe even Alaska.

I would die doing what i love, road trips and being with my husband. :)

  2. I don’t know when my last ONE DAY will come to make me think what I’m going to do with it. Because you see, my dear, one doesn’t wait for that last day or minute to make amendments (have they been really bad). But as it is, I will be found praying for my loved ones :-)
