On Memberships and The Future of Blogging

If you are a regular reader and appreciate what I do here, please support me by purchasing a membership. It only takes a minute or so and your collective support will help me keep the lights on.

There are a few reasons for doing this:

  1. The 1,000 true fans model is the only way independent creators will keep making an living by doing what they want. That’s why I’d like to focus on my true fans, and trying to write the best content possible.
  2. Ads are dead. The advertising model no longer works.
  3. I used to believe a paywall was the way to go, but in recent times I have decided that while the best content is placed behind paywalls, all the junk is being offered for free.

I could go on, but here’s what it boils down to for me: I’m proud of what I’ve built here over the past 8 and a half years and I’m committed to publishing here regularly and operating independently as long as I am able to.

Even though this blog has always been a one-person operation, I’ve never done it alone. You have always been an essential part to the creative process, and I’d love your help in reaching towards higher levels of quality.

As always, thanks for reading and thank you for the support!

P.S. All blog posts and books will be made available for free over the following days. You can start by downloading Jazz from this page here.
